Suno monastery project is the community base project. In this project we are
helping out monastery which needs to reconstruct and require other things.
First at all want to give some information about what is monastery and why
it's important in our community.

Monastery, a term denotes the habitation and workplace of a community of
monks, nuns, or other people set apart for a religious purpose. Every
religion in world has monastery with different name.

Many religions have monastic traditions, in which a person commits himself
to a religious life and lives apart from secular society in a monastery. The
monastic community may be supported in several ways: by manufacturing and
selling goods, often agricultural products; by donations or alms; by rental
or investment incomes; and by funds from other organizations within the
religion.

Monasteries may vary greatly in size, from a single building containing only
one senior and two or three junior monks, to vast complexes and estates
housing tens of thousands. In most religions, community membership is
limited by gender and community members are required to remain celibate and
own little or no personal property.

In Suno Monastery project our first project is helping to build Buddhist
monastery at Shivapuri hills.

We are helping to rebuilt monastery which is 1300 years old. The name of the
monastery is TASHI CHHOYEFELLING MONASTERY (SANGLA VDC-2, KATHMANDU, CDO
Reg: No: - 476/061/62). Traditionally name of the monastery is given by big
lama; the name of this monastery situated at Shivapuri hills is given by the
lama "Ringpoche Gosatulbule". This Tashi monastery is situated at height of
the hills and is in pitiable condition and the surrounding people of village
are not such a wealthy that they can help this Tashi Monastery. The people
also need help.

As we know in Monastery Expenses are supported by other people because monks
are not able to do that much. Tashi monastery monks are planning to rebuild
it and monastery is really in worst condition and small. They want to
conserve monastery and Lamaism and need to make some basic needs like rooms
& toilet and one big room to study. Where monk will teach lama to small
children who want to study and want to become a monk.

Tashi Chhoyefelling Monastery is register in government and monastery
community. KathmanduExpress will provide certificates from that monastery
people who donate for this good reason. They will write name of donor on
stone in front of that monastery who donate equal or more then E 300.

This is our first monastery project and there are other numbers of monastery
who need to look after. We will need your contribution to help this all

Nepal is also the cradle of Buddhism and is, since the Chinese invasion of Tibet, shelter for many refugees…still living, sometimes, in fragile situations.
